I am a communications professional with a strong foundation in journalism, media production, and strategic storytelling. I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Communications and my Master of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where I also served as a Creative Media Graduate Teaching Assistant within the School of Communication. In that role, I supported student media initiatives while refining my expertise in messaging, media strategy, and audience engagement.
My professional background spans television, radio, print, and digital platforms, equipping me with a comprehensive understanding of how messages are crafted, delivered, and received across audiences. As a television producer at First Alert 6 WOWT, I collaborate with reporters, anchors, and technical teams to develop clear, accurate, and compelling content under tight deadlines. This role has strengthened my skills in editorial decision-making, strategic messaging, cross-functional collaboration, and crisis-aware communication.
In addition to broadcast production, I have worked as a radio host and play-by-play broadcaster for KVNO Mav Radio and produced content for The Omaha News. My reporting has been published in local newspapers, magazines, and online outlets throughout the Omaha area. These experiences sharpened my ability to translate complex information into accessible, engaging narratives tailored to specific audiences.
My portfolio reflects a commitment to community-centered storytelling — highlighting nonprofit initiatives, military service members, campus leaders, artists, and individuals making a local impact. I am passionate about crafting messages that inform, inspire, and build meaningful connections between organizations and the communities they serve.
I am seeking opportunities in communications where I can apply my media expertise, strategic thinking, and storytelling skills to strengthen brand voice, support organizational goals, and foster authentic audience engagement.
